SSCS 2010 REGISTRATION DATES FOR AUTHORS 
Acceptance of papers submitted to the SSCS2010 have been completed and announced to each relevant author. Accordingly, one author of each paper has been requested to register as soon as possible in order to include the paper in Proceedings. Deadlines for these registrations were indicated separately in each acceptance mail.
Please note that the mentioned deadlines are extended till the 30th of June 2010 upon request. At least one of the authors must be registered prior to the new extended deadline in order for their paper to be included in the programme and published in the Proceedings.
EVALUATION OF PAPERS SSCS 2010 COMPLETED
Evaluation of papers has been completed. 80 papers have been accepted by the Scientific Board to be presented at SSCS 2010 International Symposium.
ECCS STEEL BRIDGES AWARD 2010 HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED
The result of the ECCS Official and Professional Jury's decision regarding the competition of Steel Bridges projects in the 3 following categories:
I. First Category: Road and Railways Bridges
First Prize
Franchissement de la Ravine Fontaine, Reunion Island, France (submitted by Italy).
Mention
Lange Brucke Potsdam, Germany
II. Second Category : Footbridges
First Prize
Footbridge over the "Rhein-Herne-Channel" in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Mention
Bremenhaven Glazed Pedestrian Swing Bridge, Bremenhaven, Germany.
III. Refurbishement of Existing Bridges
Prize
New Life for an Old Historical Steel Bridge over the Mures River in SAVARSIN, Romania.

SPECIAL ISSUE OF STEEL CONSTRUCTION – DESIGN AND RESEARCH FOR SSCS 2010
It is a great pleasure to announce that the best papers (4 scientific papers and 4 technical papers) of SSCS 2010, selected by the following board of editors will be published at the September issue of “Steel Construction – Design and Research”
Members of Editors Board for this special issue are Prof. Nesrin YARDIMCI, Prof. Harun BATIRBAYGIL, Prof. Luis da SILVA, Prof. Milan VELJKOVIC and Prof. Cavidan YORGUN.
DATES OF THE SYMPOSIUM
Dates of the International Symposium has been moved one day ahead according to the planned ECCS Meetings. During the coordination meeting in Barcelona in September 2009 it was decided that dates of the symposium would be 21-23 September instead of 20-22 September 2010. Therefore, participants of symposium may arrive in Istanbul on Monday. You may find the revised dates on the Program Chart above.
Ernst & Sohn, the publishing partner of ECCS is preparing a special issue for SSCS 2010.
